Transition Belsize

The newsletter for Transition Belsize.

February Newsletter

Hello Belsize,

There's a chill in the air but don't worry, we've got draught-busting workshops, tipples at the pub and lots of energizing outdoor activities to keep you warm, not to mention free snow shovels and cosy sheepswool slippers.

We'll be running a stall outside Budgens on Saturday 18th February from 10am to 2pm, promoting our groups, projects and upcoming events, and giving food-growing advice. If you'd like to come help set up the stall or introduce newcomers to Transition, please e-mail with your availability.

Join our draught busting team!

This special edition of the newsletter has been brought to you by our Draught Busters, who are looking for new team members and hosts for free workshops for Camden residents.

And we've got lots more fun events in the next few weeks, with mulching and apple-tree planting at the Fruitery, a leap year Transition Tipple and sheepswool slipper making!

January Newsletter

Happy New Year to all!

The Transition Tipple on Wednesday is a great place to start - come along for a drink and a chat. Or how about helping out with groundwork at our new Fruitery on Saturday 7th or getting active with a Winter Walk on Sunday 15th?

Reminder: Seasonal Celebration on Wednesday 14th December

We'll be looking back on all we have achieved in 2011, and looking forward to creating a positive and very Happy New Year in Belsize. Everyone is welcome!

And here are a few more upcoming Transition Belsize events:

Dear Transition Belsize,

We hope you all enjoyed the Green Fair on Saturday 24th September – we certainly did! Have a look at some photos here. You might have seen some of the furniture built out of discarded wooden pallets at the Green Fair - if you'd like to find out more, check out Pallet Furniture, started by one of Transition Belsize's members as a spin-off from TB activities. It's a boutique company offering distinctive solutions to reclaimed wood from pallets and any other wood wanting a second life. They are focused on being resourceful, creating beautiful functional design and inspiring others to see ‘waste’ in another light.
