Ecofuntastic Clubs come to NW3!

Ecofuntastic Clubs come to NW3!

The education group is proud to announce that this term we have started four new Eco clubs at our schools in NW3.

On Mondays after school, 15 kids from Fitzjohns school meet to have an Ecofunastic time making potions from local ingredients, weaving willow, building camp fires, chopping wood, working on our re-makery project, learning and experimenting with renewable energy, and a host of other great fun activities. On a Tuesday, the club runs at St Paul's, Thursday after school the club runs at Northbridge House, which we are particularly excited about as it is great to be working with the older kids. On Friday, the Dig It Club concentrates on growing food at St Paul's and capping the two gold medal awards picked up at Camden in Bloom this year.

If you are interested in starting an Ecofuntastic or Dig It club at your school and would like a full, free list of our weekly activities and ideas, contact kids@transitionbelsize.org.uk. A summary sheet of this term's plans are on the website.

We are also considering running a project called 'Fruit Machine' in co-operation with a local art gallery/art space next spring. The project will be a mix of 2D and 3D art, aimed at creating awareness of how we import 90% of our fruit in the country. If your school would like to be involved contact kids@transitionbelsize.org.uk.
