Reminder: Seasonal Celebration on Wednesday 14th December

Hello all,

Please join us for our Seasonal Celebration at Oliver's Village Café (92 Belsize Lane) from 7pm onwards on Wednesday 14th December. There will be mulled wine and mince pies, as well as savoury snacks, and a choice of organic wines and beers. We'll be looking back on all we have achieved in 2011, and looking forward to creating a positive and very Happy New Year in Belsize. Everyone is welcome!

And here are a few more upcoming Transition Belsize events:

Winter Walk
Sunday 18th December - 12-1.30pm
Baker Street - Regent's Park - Primrose Hill - Hampstead Heath
Get some gentle exercise, meet new people and enjoy the views from Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath. Join us for a winter walk from Baker Street, through Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, up to Hampstead and onto the Heath. Meet at 12 at Baker Street tube by the Marks & Spencers café, or if you prefer to meet us later at Hampstead Heath, contact Jenna directly via the website or on 07801 491 965.
Please sign up to this event so we know that you're coming!

The Fruitery Big Dig
Sunday 18th December - 1-4pm
St Peter's Church, Belsize Square, NW3 4HJ
Help us break ground on an exciting new Transition Belsize project: The Fruitery. We are planning to transform some land at the back of St Peter's church in Belsize Square into a productive, communal space that can be shared and enjoyed by the community. During the next few months we want to turn it into a showcase forest garden. First the site needs some preparation work so we need your help! There will be shrub and root clearance to be done, as well as generally tidying the site.

Transition Tipple
Wednesday 4th January - from 8pm
The Washington pub, 50 Englands Lane, NW3 4UE
Starting in January, every first Wednesday of the month will be a chance to come along for an informal Transition Tipple, catching up with old friends over a drink, meeting new people and sharing ideas about how we can make our lives and Belsize more sustainable.
We will have a space at The Washington, look out for our sign.

From Sheepish Tales... to Sticky Marmalade!
Sunday 29th January and Sunday 5th February (come to either or both!) - drop in between 12 and 4pm
Kentish Town City Farm, 1 Cressfield Close, NW5 4BN
Calling all creative kids and jammy adults, don't get cold feet this winter, but come along to our snug slipper/felt-making workshop and turn real sheepswool into take-home slippers. While the kids are getting crafty, grown-ups can have a go at making sticky, yummy marmalade...certain to sweeten up those winter evenings and breakfasts. The fun doesn't stop there, if you are feeling even more fruity, we will have on hand an expert from our Abundance group to chat to you over a cuppa about fruit tree pruning, and planting new trees!

All the best,
